She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Clark and Essie Champion Clark; her former husband Palmer G. Cannon; her siblings, Hubert Lee Clark, Sybol Mauney and Betty Wallace; her son-in-law Michael Wellmon; and her stepson Greg Palmer.
She is survived by: her husband Verlon Joe Palmer; her daughters, Pam Cannon Wellmon and Linda Davis (Jeff) of Harrisburg; her stepchildren, Mike Palmer (Dee) of Richmond, Virginia and Betsy Herndon (Todd) of San Antonio, Texas; her stepdaughter-in-law Julie Palmer of Greenville; her sister Jessie Favell of Grover; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Champion (Elizabeth) of Shelby, Haley Greene (Wesley) of Shelby, Heather DiBruno (Nick) of Gastonia, Adam Owensby (Natalia) of Wilmington, Grace Herndon, Judah Oechsle of Austin, Texas, Wright Herndon of Austin, Texas, Meredith Herndon of San Antonio, Texas, Jay Bogardus of Huntsville, Alabama, Caroline Palmer and Matthew Mihalko of Memphis, Tennessee..
