He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Arnell Terry and Nina Kathleen Bumgardner Hipps; and his sister Sherry Beaver. He is survived by: his wife Phoebe Ledford Terry; his children, Stacey Terry Martin (Billy) of Shelby, Scottie Terry (Christy) of Vale and Harold Terry, Jr. (Melissa) of Albermarle; and his siblings, Billy Terry of Ellenboro, Larry Terry (Darlene) of Ellenboro and Suzie Shytle of Lawndale. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church (2545 Shoal Creek Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28152). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
