She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Franklin Fortenberry and Mary Cook Fortenberry; and her brother-in-law Don Blanton. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Dale Peterson; her son Tyler Peterson (Carmen) of Shelby; her granddaughter Brinleigh; and her siblings, Jeff Fortenberry of Casar and Beth Blanton of Shelby. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
