In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Jerry leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Jerry may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Macie Warlick Floyd and Weldon Arvel Floyd; his brother William Dacus Floyd; and his sister-in-law Joyce Thackerson Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Marietta Gettys Floyd; his sons, Jerry Michael Floyd (Michal Edwards Floyd) and Mark David Floyd (Susan Hamrick Floyd); and his grandchildren, Thomas Mark Floyd (Leah), Katie Suzanne Floyd Williams (Jake), Amy Elizabeth Floyd Savage (Jake), Daniel Yates Floyd and Anna Noel Floyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Elizabeth Baptist Church (301 N Post Rd, Shelby, NC 28150). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
