Joan, born on October 23, 1938 in Cleveland, North Carolina, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Sills and Lucille Dillard Sills; her brother Robert Sills (Judy); her daughter Tamara Ann McClellan; and her daughter-in-law Teresa Little McClellan.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Ansel McClellan; her son Phillip Ansel McClellan Sr. (Kirsta) of Shelby; and her grandchildren, Treka Davis (Steven) of Boiling Springs, SC, Philip Ansel McClellan II (Riley) of Shelby, Brittney Grigg (Tyler) of Lawndale and Dusty Mode of Shelby. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Eastside Baptist Church Mission fund.
