He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Bryant Martin Sr. and Louise Elizabeth Martin; and his siblings, Vernon Bryant "Turk" Martin Jr., Jewel Ann Martin Cooley, Billy Arnold Martin, Mary Martin Holben and Ruby Lee Martin Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, John "Scooter" Martin Jr., Pam Buchanan (Steve) and Debbie Holloway; his grandchildren, Brayden John Modlin, Abigail Leigh Raymond, Brian Buchanan (Naomi), Ben Buchanan (Cassie) and Travis Thompson (Mindy); and his great grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Cole Buchanan, Brady, Braxton and Boden Thompson.
