He is survived by: his wife Terri Branson; his sons, Branson Reid of Shelby and Jackson Reid (April); his granddaughters, Madilyn and Hallie of Charlotte; his siblings, Buddy Reid (Jill) of Beaufort, SC and Julie Russell (Stephen) of Charlotte; his niece Claire Talisman (Teddy); his great-nieces, Cora and Catherine of Charleston, SC; his niece Mary Elizabeth Volkman (Andrew); his great-nephew Alex of Charlotte, NC; his niece Hope Toadevin (Mark); his nephew Aaron Russell (Rachel); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Silas, Isaac, Ayla and Lucas of Clifton, NJ; his brothers-in-law, Bill Branson (Shayne) of Asheville and Joe Branson (Deah) of Canton; and his mother-in-law June Branson of Asheville.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Central United Methodist Church (200 E Marion St, Shelby, NC 28150). Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central United Methodist Church or to Shelby High School Arts Department.
