He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Edwards Sr. and Margie Clark Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Edwards (White); his children, Tammy Edwards Whisnant of Forest City, NC, Danny Edwards (Deborah) of Shelby and Denise Edwards Lail (Gary) of Kings Mountain, NC; his grandchildren, Brandon Lee Edwards of Hawaii, Betsy Beason of Shelby, NC, Brittany Spivey (Charles) of Raleigh, NC, Devin Lail of Kings Mountain, NC, Michael Lail (Heather) of Shelby, NC and Shay Bumgarner of Canton, NC; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Beason, Karlee Beason, Aedan Lail, Ava Lail and KJ Laye; and his siblings, Kenneth Edwards (Gloria) of Shelby, NC and Sherry Philbeck (Tom) of Blacksburg, SC..
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Services (2518 W Dixon Blvd, Shelby, NC 28150). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
