She was predeceased by: her brother Gary Gorbutt. She is survived by: her sister Lorraine Bennett (Steve); her children, Lynda Thornhill (Christopher), Kenneth Scott Fagan (Alisha), Michelle Potter, Amy McClendon (Randy) and Gary Daniel Whittaker II; her grandchildren, Christopher Chase (Emily), Caleb, Ella Thornhill, Kendan and Kennedy Fagan; and her pet Bijou.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at 305 N Lafayette St, Shelby, NC 28150.
