She was predeceased by: her husband Ambrose Cook; her parents, David Cleodus Ledford and Katie Bell Rowe Ledford; her grandson Lewis Harold "Bee Jay" Dobbins; and her siblings, O. V. Wright, Opal Smith, Inez Hoover, David, Willard, Olen, Talmadge and Raymond Ledford.
She is survived by: her daughter Ambra Cook Dobbins (Buster) of Shelby; her grandson Lucas Dobbins of Shelby; her great grandchild Declan Dobbins; and her nieces and nephews, Martha Sue Wease (Benny), John Ledford (Rita), Carroll Ledford (Clara Ann), Terry Church (Jimmy), Berdie Weist (Bob), Dawn Moses, Dale Wright (Linda), Kathy Mellon, Roger Ledford (Cindy), Dennis Ledford and Sheila Jolley.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cleveland Memorial Park (1225 College Ave, Shelby, NC 28152).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
