She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Owen McWhirter and Carolyn Spivey McWhirter. She is survived by: her daughter Lauren Bree Joyner (Colby); and her brothers, Owen McWhirter (Melissa), Alan McWhirter (Lena) and Colin McWhirter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home (106 Cherryville Rd, Shelby, NC 28150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
