It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lowery Kendrick of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Hugh Quinn Kendrick and LuVicie Lowery Kendrick; his siblings, Edwin Kendrick, Lawson Kendrick, Rebecca Borders and Betty Catherine Davis; and his son-in-law Scott Strickland.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Jean Lingerfelt Kendrick; his children, Cathy Earl, Victoria Edwards (James), Kim Strickland and Patrick Kendrick (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ashley Hooks (Blake), Natalie Edwards Bishop (Stephen), Kaitlin Edwards, Madison Strickland, Matthew Strickland and Dalton Kendrick (Katie); his great grandchildren, Carter Hooks, Thomas Lowery Bishop and Hudson Lowery Kendrick; and his brother Joe Kendrick (Nancy).

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory (106 Cherryville Rd, Shelby, NC 28150-4208).
