It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Bell (Shelby, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on November 27, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John O. Borders and Ruth Hunt Borders; and her brother Ted Borders. She is survived by: her husband Haskell Bell; her son Dr. Stephen Bell (Leslie) of Bostic; her daughter-in-law Mona Czarnecki of Fletcher; her grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Bell of Lexington, KY and Weston Bell of Lake Lure; her nieces, Renee Gilbert of Shelby and Rita Ferguson of Kings Mountain; and her pets, Howdy and Rowdy.
