It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Vinesett Greene (Shelby, North Carolina), who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Coleman Vinesett and Euzelia Simmons Vinesett; her husband Hubert Lee Greene; her siblings, Wallace Vinesett, Jack Simmons and Debbie Anthony; her stepmother Ruby Scruggs Vinesett; and her stepbrother Bob Blanton.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Hoyle (Sonny) of Lawndale and Mike Greene (Debra) of Grover; her siblings, Buena Hester, Pat Ledbetter, Jane Raduly, Tom Vinesett, Maxine Cochran, Grace Constant and Shirley Europa; her brother-in-law Stan Anthony; her grandsons, Brad Hoyle (Angie) of Shelby, Jason Crotts (Mary) of Toluca, Josh Crotts (Myia) of Fallston and Jeremy Wiggins of Asheville; her great grandchildren, Tucker Hoyle (Sage), Cade Hoyle (Katalyn), Hagan Hoyle, Gabe Dunn, Zeke Crotts, Zane Crotts, Kaleb Crotts and Evan Crotts; and her close friend Addison Leigh.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorials be made to Sulphur Springs Methodist Church, 1642 Sulphur Springs Rd, Shelby, NC 28152 in Mrs. Greene's memory.
