Maxine Lail Nanney Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Maxine Lail Nanney of Shelby, North Carolina. Maxine, born on December 30, 1938, passed away on June 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lero Lail and Nellie Mae Queen Lail; her husband Harry Eugene Nanney; her son John Dee Nanney; her siblings, Boyd Lail, Cecil Lail, Ralph Lail, Roy Lail, Lalage Blankenship and Dorothy Sue Green; and her grandsons, William Lane Nanney and Travis Lenn Pearson.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Nanney (Kim) of Fallston and Susan Barnett (Paul) of Shelby; her brother Earl Lail of Shelby; and her grandchildren, Chase Barnett (Rosita), Kody Nanney (Kaitlynn) and Kortney Brooks (Daniel). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
