She is survived by: her husband Owen McWhirter; her son Ryver Shelton; her mother Charlotte Shelton; her stepdaughter Paige Rosenbaum; and her brothers, Scott Shelton (Heather) and Jordan Shelton (Sheri). She is also survived by three nephews and two nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Cemetery (412 W Sumter St, Shelby, NC 28150).
