As we bid adieu to Montrose's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Montrose has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Montrose Mull Meacham and Earl Holleman Meacham. She is survived by: her spouse Lacy Ballard; her children, Montrose Rebecca Higgins (Becky), Colonel Ralph Grady Higgins III (Trip) of Shelby and Lacy Henry Ballard III (Christine Cullum Ballard); her grandson Lacy Henry Ballard IV (Hank) of Winston-Salem, NC; and her brother Otis Mull Meacham of Lake Norman.
Montrose requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the George Byrd Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, 120 North Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
