He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everette Brooks and Mertice Bridges Brooks of Shelby, NC; and his sisters, Nancy Brooks Smith and Lorene Brooks Yelton. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Harms Brooks; his sister Gail Brooks Canipe (Charles) of Shelby, NC; his children, Julie Brooks Barbour (Chad), Brian Matthew Brooks (Karen) of Havertown, PA and Amy Brooks Cogdall (Alex) of Lebanon, TN.; and his grandchildren, Eleanor Barbour, Maya Brooks, Asher Brooks and Cash Cogdall.
