Rachel Dixon Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rachel Dixon of Shelby, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Rachel is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Rachel's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Heavner and Ila Heavner; her husband Raymond Dixon; and her sisters, Carolyn Jenks and Theada Beck.

She is survived by: her sons, Bill Dixon and Chuck Dixon. She is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
