He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Othelon Ross and Catherine Louise Ross; and his brother John Thomas Ross. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Tomblin Ross; his daughter LaShay Martin (Kevin) of Gastonia; his stepdaughter Amy Barnes (David) of Easley; and his grandchildren, Madison Pena (Miguel) of Gastonia, Talan Martin of Gastonia and Caroline Pope of Hendersonville.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Shelby (120 N Lafayette St, Shelby, NC 28150). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cleveland Memorial Park (1225 College Ave, Shelby, NC 28152).
