He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Bates (Richard) of Ft. Mill and Jody Blanton (Suzanne) of Shelby; his grandson Reid Blanton of Shelby; his nieces, Robyn Kerr and Allison Hodges; his nephew Eric Putnam; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Putnam and Michael Putnam.
