He is survived by : his wife Rosa Linda Talbert; his children, Daniel Talbert (Jessica) and Joy Hord (Brian) of Cleveland County; and his grandchildren, Gage, Ella, Cole Hord, Micah Brack and Mark Talbert (Nancy Poole Havens) of Raleigh, NC..

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Central United Methodist Church (200 E Marion St, Shelby, NC 28150). A reception was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall (2506 Shoal Creek Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28152).
