With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sue Carico Hartwyk of Shelby, North Carolina, born in Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on May 24, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Carico and Ernestine Carico; and her sister Mary Carico Allen. She is survived by: her husband William Edward Hartwyk; her sons, Michael E. Hartwyk (Jennifer) and Bryan J. Hartwyk; her siblings, Bobbie Carico and David Carico (Judy); and her grandson Hunter Ruppe (Sarah). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
