He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Shirah Nunnery (Jeff) of Shelby, NC and Lisa Shirah Warren (Banzen) of Shelby, NC.; his wife Kay Byars Shirah; his son Willie Edward Shirah Jr. The; his sister Joann Shirah Derrick (Paul); and his sons, Allen and Dwayne of Leesville, SC.
