He is survived by: his wife Cherie Way Loftin; his children, Ryan (Lynn Loftin) of Iron Station, Tyler Loftin of Iron Station and Captain James (Captain Abby Loftin) of Maryland; his son-in-law Justin Woodard of Selma; his grandchildren, Grace, Poppy Lynn, Ezra Loftin, Jaden Woodard and Parker Woodard; his brother Blake (Shere) of Denver, NC.; his nephew Nick; his niece Emily Loftin of Lincolnton, NC.; his mother-in-law Joey York of Burlington, NC; his brothers, Danny (Tina Way) and Tripp (Carly York); his uncles, Bryan Robinson and Jamey McCullers; and his nieces and nephews, Whitney Way of Wilson, NC, Stacy Way of Burlington, NC, Billy and Jordan Phillips of Wilmington, NC.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the L.O.V's Thrift store in Maiden and East Lincoln Christian Ministry in Denver.
