He is survived by: his wife Kay McAlister of Sherrills Ford; his sons, Jeff Blackwell (Tina) of Statesville and Rodney Blackwell (Pam) of Mt. Holly; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Blackwell, Lindsey Blackwell and Brittany Joiner (Bo).
