He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Steele and Mary Bethel Stutts Steele; and his siblings, Carol Robinson, Martha Karriker and Tommy Steele.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Short" Robinson Steele; his daughter Shelia Hyde (Jimmy); his sisters, Ruth "Boots" Sherrill, Joyce Lytle, Norma Deck (Ronald) and Alice Freeze (Johnny); his grandchildren, Randy Hyde and Elizabeth Hyde; his great grandchildren, Lili, Colby and Carter; his grandson Curtis Hyde; his great grandchildren, Layton and Saylem; his granddaughter Kayla Owens (Josh); his great grandchild Gabe; his grandchild Brittanie Hyde; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Brantley and Maverick; and his grandchild Allisyn Hyde. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
