He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Oscar Huffman and Elsie Gertrude Mauney; and his brothers, Vernon, James and Lester "Pete".

He is survived by: his wife Mabel Lineberger Huffman; his son Michael Huffman (Sue) of Stanley; and his grandchildren, Maci McHenry (Jonathan), Katie Bindas (Alex) and Kassi Huffman.
