He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Lail and Velma Caldwell Lail; and his uncle Tommy Lail. He is survived by: his daughter April Lail of Taylorsville; his sister Elizabeth Schoonover (Carl) of Conover; his grandchildren, Austin Lail and Jerry Lee Bivens; his aunt Ruby Lail; his cousins, Lynn Buchanan and Susan Harkey; and his nephew Steven Schoonover.
