She was predeceased by: her parents, Toney Lester Rea and Gertrude Eggleston Rea; her son John Wesley Cherwaty; and her siblings, Virginia Lee Rea, Evelynn Rea, Georgia Rea Ellett, Madeline "Libby" Rea Durham, Ruth Rea Franklin, Toney Woodrow Rea, Eugene Alonzo Rea, Johnny Green Rea, Thomas Deal Rea, Ishmeal Rea and David Franklin Rea.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Rea, Melissa Lyon (Jeff) and Mary Ann Cox (Joshua). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
