We announce the death of Edna Stott Sharp (Sims, North Carolina), who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 98. Edna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband George T. Sharp, Sr.; her former husband Harvey B. Stott; her parents, Milton Barham and Mozelle Barham; her brothers, Owen and Cary Barham; and her son George T. Sharp, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Ann Stott Davis of Reidsville, Bonnie Stott Dorsey (Kirk) of Elizabeth City, Linda Sharp Miller of Rock Ridge, Katherine Sharp Sherrod (Ben) of Sims, Debbie Sharp Hancock (Charles) of Rock Ridge, Nelson Stott (Mary Lu) of Clayton and Warren Sharp (Mary) of Rock Ridge. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Nobles Chapel Church Cemetery (7330 Old Raleigh Rd, Sims, NC 27880). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Family Life Center at Nobles Chapel (7330 Old Raleigh Rd, Sims, NC 27880).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Free Will Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 249, Middlesex, NC 27557-0249.
