He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Ruffin; his parents, John William and Della Ruffin; and his sister Hildred Hutchins. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Mason, Randy Ruffin (Denise) and Sharon Ruffin; his grandchildren, Kristen Lamm, Jennifer Christianson, Matthew Ruffin, Michael Hall, Clayton Jones and Tyler Ruffin; his brothers, Billy Ruffin (Carolyn) and David Ruffin (Annie); and his pet Amy.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bailey Baptist Church (6646 Deans St, Bailey, NC 27807). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
