He was predeceased by : his parents, Hoyt Battle Nichols and Ruby Boykin Nichols; his sister Marybeth Nichols Barris; and his niece Jennifer Horns James. He is survived by : his wife Evie Etheridge Nichols; his daughters, Amanda Nichols Currie (David) of Sims, Mary Nichols Langley (Glenn) of Sims and Emily Nichols Johnson (Nat) of Fraser, Colorado; his grandchildren, Cameron Langley, Zachary Currie, Tyler Williams, Dylan Williams, Emma Currie, Olivia Langley, Sadie Johnson, Lexi Johnson and Grady Johnson; his siblings, Phyllis Nichols Horns (Fred) of Greenville, Pamela Rachel Nichols of Sims and Hoyt Battle Nichols, Jr. (Kay) of High Point; and his brother-in-law John Barris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
