She was predeceased by: her parents, Haywood Smith and Retha Whitley Smith; and her son Nathaniel Revels, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Nathaniel Revels; her son John Hardy Revels; her grandchildren, Brandon, Qiana, John, Nathan, Janeaya and Jessica; and her siblings, Sarah Foye, Linda Jones, Cynthia Williams, Peggy Panell, Cornell (Dorothy), James and Larry (Lavern). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
