It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Barnes Creech of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on May 26, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nancy Barnes and Lafayette Barnes; and her brother Donald Barnes. She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Creech Parker of Wilson and Anita Creech Gurkin (Johnny Gurkin) of Carolina Beach; her son-in-law Butch Parker of Wilson; her grandchildren, Delana Parker Rountree (Robert Rountree) of Wilson, Brett Creech Parker (Alyssa Parker) of Youngsville, Jordan Audrea Lee (Connor Lee) of Winnabow and Dr. Brett Gurkin (Nadine Antonelli) of Wilmington; and her great grandchildren, Amelia Rose Parker and Margaret Parker Rountree.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sanders Chapel UMC and/or to Yelverton Grove FWB Church.
