It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ann Adams of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Neil Frank Holmes and Nannie Wood Holmes; her former life partner Bobby R. Baker; her husband Robert Adams; and her siblings, Perry Holmes, Shiney Holmes, Bobby Holmes, Linda Slaughter, Larry Holmes, Herman Holmes and Faye Buchanan.
She is survived by : her children, Bobby Baker, Jr. of Broadway and Luanne Pope (Ricky) of Smithfield; and her grandchildren, Gregory Wayne Baker and Deanna Zibley. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
