With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Davis Smith of Smithfield, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Jackson Davis and Jones Ashley Davis; her stepmother Ethel Rowe Davis; her husband Sam Bennett Smith; her children-in-law, Danny Lynn Williams and Rhonda Barefoot Smith; her sister Louise Poole; and her stepbrothers, Billy (Bobbie) and Gerald Rowe.
She is survived by: her children, Sammy Smith and Linda Williams; her stepsister Nancy Strickland; her granddaughters, Samantha (Kevin) and Stephanie; and her great grandchildren, Jaxson and Hayley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St Paul's Episcopal Church (218 S 2nd St, Smithfield, NC 27577).
