It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Betty Sugg Welch (Smithfield, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 92, on April 9, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Burton Whitfield and Rose Gordon Sugg; her husband Ted Neal (Bo); and her children, Neal Welch and Alice Narron.

She is survived by : her sons, Carl W. Welch (Ruth) of Wendell, NC and Gordon W. Welch of Wilmington, Delaware.; her grandchildren, Maura Welch Stewart (Brad), Vance Welch and Wiley Narron; and her great grandchildren, James, Cameron Stewart and Phoenix Welch. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (215 S 3rd St, Smithfield, NC 27577). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
