Billy Ray Higgins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Ray Higgins of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleron H. Higgins and Dorothy W. Higgins. He is survived by: his children, Kellie Higgins, Christopher Higgins and Jessica Higgins; and his siblings, J. L. Higgins, Bobby R. Higgins, Danny R. Higgins (India), Clara H. Powell and Patricia H. Jackson (Stacy L. Jackson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Yelverton Grove Free Will Baptist Church (1094 Yelverton Grove Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577). A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
