Carter; son-in-law: Wilson Carter; siblings: Ruby Woodard, Vernon Woodard (Janie), Raymond Woodard, Carl Woodard, Clifton Woodard (Pat), and Joel Woodard; sisters-in-law: Ellen Woodard and Sandra Woodard; grandchildren: Garrett Watson Woodard, Matthew Woodard (Daphne), Aaron Woodard (Christiana), Jonathan Woodard (Nicole), Stuart Woodard (Kinsey), Chris Carter (Nicole), Catherine Downey (Tim), and Marilee Woodard; great-grandchildren: Ainsley, Rosalie, Elowyn, Hadley, Brantley, Ellis, Liam, and Owen Woodard, Carter and Teresa "Tessa" Downey; other: Pat McCrory; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Centenary United Methodist Church (140 E Market St, Smithfield, NC 27577). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
