He was predeceased by: his parents, H. S. Turnage and Ethel B. Turnage; his wife Jeanette W. Turnage; and his sister Arnette T. Johnson of Four Oaks. He is survived by: his children, Allen Turnage (Michelle) and Nona T. Jenkins (Bryan); his grandchildren, Addilee T. Corbett (Marcus), Kathryn Jenkins, Makenna Turnage, Coy Turnage and Luke Jenkins; his great grandchild Breece Allen; his siblings, Sarah Mills, Henry "Buck" Turnage and Tom Turnage; and his close friend Judy Pate.
