David Earl Myers Obituary
We announce the death of David Earl Myers of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 85. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roosevelt "Cooncie" Myers and Lillie Mae Williford Myers; his wife Peggy Ann Johnson Myers; his brother Billy Myers; and his daughter-in-law Donna Benton Myers.
He is survived by: his sons, David Wayne Myers (Vicky), Durwood Earl Myers (Carrie) and Chad Everette Myers (Angie); his grandchildren, Lauren Stevens (Travis), Dustin Myers (Stephanie), Landon Myers (Ashley), Tara Strothers (Jonathan), Benton Myers (Hannah), Dylan Myers (Caroline), Maegan Myers (Steven), Keely Denning (Will), Courtney Hayes (Jackson), Brianna Myers and Kirsten Myers; and his sister Joy Griffin. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
Although flowers are welcome the family suggests contributions be made to Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 6439 Brogden Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
