She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ivey Yelverton and Thelma Perkins Yelverton; her husband Willie Melvin Cooper; and her siblings, Eugene Yelverton and Judy Pennington.
She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Cooper and David Cooper (Betty); her brother Jake Yelverton (Iris); her granddaughters, Liz Cooper and Cynthia Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Jude, Thane, Reagan and Madison.
