He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kelly Byrd and Laddis Virginia Messer Byrd; his wife Katie Bowling Byrd; his son Ronnie Ray Byrd; and his siblings, Vergie B. Barefoot, Marjorie B. Ausley, Marion B. Williams, Inez B. Powell and Victor Byrd.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Byrd Ingram (Kevin); his grandsons, Chad Creech (Kerry) and David Ingram; and his great grandchildren, Daniel, Kenny Mack, Carter Ray and Landon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the 50/210 Fire Department.
