She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Ruffin (Batt) and Rosa Mae Jones Johnson; her husband Russell "Russ" Alan McArdle; and her brother Charles H. Johnson (Louise Johnson). She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Hodges Edwards of Smithfield; and her granddaughter Emily Webb (Andrew) of Morehead City.
