Gladys Butler Prince Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Butler Prince of Smithfield, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on October 15, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edison and Mamie Strickland Butler; her son James Thomas Prince; and her granddaughter Carla Leigh Prince Poole. She is survived by: her son William Everette "Bill" Prince, Jr. (Marion Sofield) of Virginia Beach, VA; and her great grandchild Hannah S. Poole.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Choir.
