James Raeford Massey Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2022, at the age of 86, James Raeford Massey Sr. of Smithfield, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles Patrick; his former wife Betty Howell Massey; and his siblings, Billy Massey, Donnie Massey and Helen Butts.
He is survived by: his wife Clarissa Dail Massey; his sons, Jamie Massey of Princeton and Michael Massey (Debbie) of Smithfield; his stepson Rodolph King of Beaufort; his siblings, Jerry Massey, Margaret Wiggs, Betty Dale Martin, Jessie Smith and JoAnn Creech; his grandchildren, Erica Edwards (Josh), Todd Massey (April), Sam Massey, Sarah Massey (Cody) and Ben Massey; and his great grandchildren, Hope Massey, Eli Edwards, Ethan Massey and Sonny Edwards. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
