It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Kaye Parker (Smithfield, North Carolina), who passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Roy Strickland and Mary Kate Fulghum Strickland. She is survived by: her former husband Walton Davis Parker, Jr. of Smithfield; and her children, Melissa Parker Pilkington (Greg) of Smithfield, Mollie Parker Youngblood (Robby) of Jacksonville, Fla. and Walt Parker, III (Marie) of Apex.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that to honor mom and her legacy, simply get to know Jesus.
