It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Donald Hobart of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John Donald shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Donald farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Donald and Helen Tomlinson Hobart; and his sister Edith Hobart Cashion of Davidson, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Frankie of Smithfield; his son John Donald "Don" Hobart, Jr.; and his grandsons, Frank Adams Hobart III and William Finch Hobart.
