He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ed Pope and Mavis Pittman Pope; his wife Joyce Pope; and his sister Linda Pope Balance. He is survived by: his children, Julie McClain (Leroy), Todd Pope (Carrie) and John Dylan Pope. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
